Week 7 Recap

Ok, I'm just going to wing it at this point. The past three hours have produced two of the biggest deals in our leagues young history. To recap the trades that just happened; Drew Brees went for Chris Johnson, Philip Rivers and two draft picks (2012 2nd and 2013 5th) while runningback Maurice Jones-Drew and a 12 rounder (obviously the clincher) went for 2 draft picks (1st and a 6th) and Joesph Addai. For those keeping track that is these two deals account for the #2, #7, #9, #20 and #41 draft picks in the first year draft. All but one player was a keeper and two of the four picks are in the first two rounds. I'm still not sure how to wrap my head around everything that went on today. I mean I might start busting out into tears when I see the first Drew Brees highlight. So now starts to beg the question what happens next? Titus and Dan have both  made moves for this run. Alec snatched up Ahmad Bradshaw for the hefty tag of a first rounder. Jason grabbed the currently injured LeGarrette Blount. Did today put the pressure on the Pitz's, Lars', Will's, or Stilt's to make a move to upgrade? Of course you have to also wonder will anyone give anything for anyone on Peach's team??? Eh.....maybe it's time to move on.

Just the Tip Drill - Pitz - Really? Pitz was nervous about Monday Night? Please, we all knew the Ravens would lay a huge egg and Torrey Smith would end up with 3.2 points and the 5-1 Tip Drill would not have to worry about the 1-5  Report. Although lets just get something out there, this was definitely the least impressive 93 point performance I think ever. Look at the team; Hasselbeck goes for a solid 6.16 points, Brandon Marshall 6.10, Robbie Gould 6.00 annnnnd the dynamic duo of Brandon Pettigrew and Doug Baldwin combined for 3.10 points. How the hell did they end up with 93 plus? Well Mike Wallace and Curtis Painter scored 17 plus for the Drill. Before you freak out and say "Curtis Painter doesn't play for his team" I know he doesn't, but he also doesn't play for the Saints who he kept throwing the ball too. Technically I didn't watch any of the game (sorry Drew), it was WWE ppv night, Vengeance to be specific. Big Show and Mark Henry BROKE THE RING!!! Back from the sidebar of wrestling. Pitz got 13.3 points from his new toy Steven Jackson. Dan you can't wait to play with yours?....toy.....not penis....

Wu Rule #1 - Jason - Fact: the top 5 teams are either over or within 5 points of 700 except for one team. Fact: all but two teams have had at least 600 points scored against them. Fact: I have a cat now which makes it very difficult to work on blogs because she keeps biting me and I have to throw her across the room even though she comes back immediately almost like she enjoys being a boomerang. Anyway the relevance of the first two facts is that Jason has a total of 628 points. So close to the 700 the other dominant teams have. Who else is around the 628 points? Here's a list; Dan (3-4) 639, Death (1-6) 606, and Kirby (2-5) 581. As for the points against? Jason has had the lowest in the league at 556 and Pitz has the second lowest at 569. At least Pitz leads the league in scoring. Funny part is now that these stats are here and Jason may have to make a big move to up that scoring. Will he do it? Or will he be a huge.....remember when I mentioned my cat earlier? Full circle.

ZUnstoppableForce - Lars - ZUnstoppableForce lost. It was quite the barn burner too! 73-73. Not to take away from the closeness of victory, but come on two 500 teams can't crack 75? This is why I'm upset that I'm 1-6. Lars is hardly a Juggernaut. Stafford was held to 11 points, Q got a late td (we still lost) for a 10 spot, and the Burner was good for 12 to go with the 11 and 10 that now seem to be out of order. Other then those 3 nobody else scored above double digits. Even Beanie the Great was only worth 4 points!!! Well good job with the Colston trade Lars. His 21.8 points is the only reason you were even close. I'm wondering if this force is starting to slow down.

FreshPrincesofBelAir - Stilt - Big big win. Low low scores, but again big big win! The trick the rest of the way will be staying above 500 since there are so many teams lumped together in the middle. As of right now even Adam "I'm selling assets" Hittner is still in contention at 3-4. I think this will be difficult for Stilt to do as his team really isn't that good. I know we are in bye weeks right now, but Randall Cobb? Really? I mean I know I've been starting Eric Decker, but even he never scored -1.2 points before. Did you watch the Packers game? Aaron Rodgers was perfect up until the time he threw to Cobb and only hit him in the chest with nobody between him and the endzone... and Cobb dropped the ball. I honestly have no idea where this Randall Cobb hate came from. Kinda caught me off guard there. Well Stilt will have Wes Welker the rest of the year, now he just needs to find a way to heal Andre Johnson. What was he saying about "Gennings" again??? Side bar. Did you know Stilt missed the draft to have dinner with his girlfriends family? Why did I think he was working? How do we not give him more crap for this? It's like manlaw to get made fun of to no end for behavior like that. Also HIS TEAM IS WINNING!!! Karma is a fickle bitch.

Rodgers Rejects - Will - So Monday November 14 be glued to the tv when Green Bay plays the Vikings and just watch Aaron Rodgers play quarterback (see AD is playing Will that week so even his opponent will be rooting for Rodgers!!!). It's becoming as sick as watching Peyton in his prime and already seems prettier then Drew and Tommy. It's so sick because of how he goes 18 wide and passes the ball to 29 different receivers. Not even a hyperbole...ok maybe it was. He also doesn't throw incompletions (YOU HEAR ME RANDALL COBB!!!!). We came to the conclusion that the refs would just throw pass interference penalties whenever Rodgers didn't complete a pass because there is no way that something wasn't wrong for the pass not to get caught. I can't lie. This was a week I thought I had a shot. 2-5 here I come. But that 80 yard bomb to Jennings was like a kick in the nuts. Great defense Minny. It hurt so bad. Almost as bad as it would have hurt to watch Pierre Thomas and Jimmy Graham be dominant vrs the Colts as my poor Mark Ingram limped to the locker room, but again fortunately I was watching this. Big win for Will, well as big as a win verse me can be. He is someone I'm pulling for to make the playoffs.

Grundle Stains - Titus - Well this is awkward Mr. Playoff bound with Megatron and Ray Rice was the lowest score of the week and played a two win team. Just checking is -4 good from a defense??? This actually hurt recaping Titus this week. I have to see how great of a week Roethlisberger has, and how shitastic of a week Ray Rice (and the rest of the Ravens) had. Not much else to say about this team, but Dustin Keller and his 3.3 points outscored RunDMC (.7). Good to see that Titus might be the pendulum when it comes to standard deviation.

Grundy Grabbers - Alec - I kinda just want to write the recap for next week when Ahmad Bradshaw gets 75 total yards and Brandon Jacobs has 2 tds, but for now I will talk about Alec's win and how close he is to the playoffs. Mark Sanchez scored 20 plus and Marshawn Lynch scored 0. Percy Harvin had 2 and Steve Smith had just under 15. AllDay scored 23.5 and Reggie Wayne scored 3.6, both are keepers. This makes no sense. How did Alec's team score almost 125 points? AHHHH that cheeky gm picked up the Kansas City defense and got the 35 points that come with them this week. Bravo Kyle Boller. Bravo.

First or Last - Dan - "How do I say goodbye to what we had? The good times that made us laugh outweigh the bad. I thought we'd get to see forever, but forever's gone away. It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday. I don't know where this road is going to lead. All I know is where we've been, and what we've been through. If we get to see tomorrow I hope it's worth all the wait. It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday. And I'll take with me the memories to be my sunshine after the rain. It's so hard to say goodbye....to....yesterday."
- Boys II Men

Do You Like Apples? -  3-4 teams are funny. Dan traded two pro bowl players and two draft picks to win right now, Hittner is gutting his team. I guess if Jamaal isn't the MVP there is no reason to try to win. It is funny too that Hittner pulls out the win over Titus and Titus immediately walks over and says "hey man give me some first round talent". I really wanted to go in a different direction in this write up but other then insulting the guy one win out from being in the playoffs who is trading away his first ever draft pick I really don't have much its that whole end of the blog fatigue thing. Here's a few numbers to wrap it up. Romo - 14.6 BOOM! Llyod - 11.2 BOOM! Greene - 11.7 BOOM! Olsen - .4 BOOM!!! wait....no....

corn on the kolb - Kirby - EVERYTIME I finish doing Hittner I start thinking about what I'm going to write about my team. Am I the only one who forgets that Kirby is in this league sometimes? He's like Larsen 2010 2.0. Without looking I can only name 4 players on his team (A. Gates, D. Bowe, F. Gore, and J. Jones). Is Freeman even his qb? Am I going to feel like a dick if he beats me this weekend? Crap. Reverse karma and quick...ummm he scored 66 points this week. CRAP. He lost by 3 points. CRAP CRAP. Mason Crosby was the best player on his team....hrm....This works right?

Naginatas Like These - Death - This is the bad luck I'm going to blame on my season. Jahvid, Ingram and D. Thomas are all injured and only D. Thomas has a chance to play. Awesome. At least let me watch my boys. A week without Jahvid is like Kirby going a week with out some stupid online computer game (CRAP CRAP CRAP). Seriously this week sucked for me. Me and Santionio right now aren't really on speaking terms at the moment. Of course you know this locker room is in flux. Drew is gone, but hopefully Tebow can fix it!!!

Tolbert Report - Peach - You know times are tough when teams are wholesaling and the last place team has only made one trade, which is for a guy who is no longer on his team. This was heart breaking though for Peach. He really should have leapfrogged me with his win over the number one seeded team, but it just wasn't in the cards (seriously. FUCKING RAVENS man). Times were so tough for team Tolbert that he dropped the guy who had the chance to win (Torrey Smith) right after the week ended. He's on waivers now! Starter last week and now gone. Franchise in termoil...

Everyone there is a game 7 in the World Series tonight. Please watch. It's American damnit! Game 7's are the best thing ever. That and beer. So have beer, watch baseball, eat chips and get ready for Sunday, because starting Sunday, after all these trades its gonna feel like...

A WHOLE NEW WORLD!!!!

Yea that was a bad sign off....I'll work on it next week.
